The University of Arizona’s Community and School Garden Program is aimed at connecting Tucson educators with university students eager to participate in the school garden movement occurring throughout the country. Impulse Nine Media designed a replacement for their previous website, which had changed many interns’ hands over the course of a few years, but was never fully developed.
Working with the University’s staff, we created a design that gave the program a unique look, despite being based on the University’s standard Drupal template and only using colors within the University’s brands. This connects the program to UA, while still giving them an identity of their own. Using the Drupal template also ensures that future interns and staff would be able to update the site, both in terms of content and its software updates, with the help of already-existing resources at UA, saving time and money while keeping a beautiful website.
