Within this community, the hope is to have everyone doing things that they enjoy. I like to teach, play music, make art, fiddle with computers, and make websites.

Basically, we would need some people taking care of food, a few working on the boat and plane, a few working on keeping the electrical generators and desalinization plants working, some people to grow and cook food, some carpenters, and a few teachers. We'll also need a competent doctor, and a number of people who can sail and/or fly a plane.

I'm sure - I hope! - there would be a great deal of overlap. I could help work on vehicles when I'm needed. Others could usually cook but occasionally help garden when needed. The roles don't have to be precisely defined; in fact, since some people may come and go perhaps that wouldn't be a good thing.

Really, the only reason anybody would have a set schedule at all would be to get into a routine, and so that group get-togethers for meals or fun or major projects or meetings could be planned.
