I've had a lot of exposure to to radically different notions of the Real Man: the movies 300 and Casino Royale, the new Bond movie.
Both are excellent.
Then I was sent one of those life-event surveys that rate how much stuff you've done. This last year I've been very busy and am a bit concerned that I won't be able to experience quite as many 'wow, I am alive' moments... not to mention get a bit of exercise.
So I've already decided to join a basketball league this summer, probably at the Y. But I'm going to also make a list of things I want to do before I die, as well as a list of things that I think are evidence of a fully-lived life.
I'm not sure there is such a thing as a completely fully-lived life: if one had all the money to do everything, I don't think it could all be truly appreciated; if one were always working, there wouldn't be much fun/life in that.
